These festive recipes are all about making Christmas cooking easier, tastier, and above all less stressful. Each dish is simple to prepare, full of seasonal flavour and designed to help you entertain with confidence. Whether you’re hosting a cosy gathering or feeding a lively houseful, these recipes bring warmth, colour and a touch of sparkle to your table—without keeping you in the kitchen all day.

Smoked Salmon Blinis

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
100g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 egg
75ml milk
10g  melted butter
150g smoked salmon, shredded
Crème fraîche
1 lemon zested

Chives
Black pepper

Method

  1. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, and melted butter.

  2. Cook teaspoon-sized blinis in a hot non-stick pan.

  3. Top with crème fraîche, shredded salmon, dill, and lemon zest.

Moroccan Turkey with Cranberry Glaze

Serves 4

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

For the Turkey

2 tsp Meg’s Moroccan spice mixes

Salt & black pepper

4 turkey escalopes (approx. 120–150g each)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

For the Festive Sauce

100ml white wine

150ml chicken stock

2 tsp cranberry sauce

Zest of 1 orange

Method

  1. Season the turkey with Moroccan spice mix, salt and pepper.

  2. Sear turkey in butter/oil until golden.

  3. Add wine and all to reduce by half.

  4. Add the stock, cranberry sauce and orange zest.

  5. Simmer until glossy and reduced.

Festive Couscous

Serves 4

Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
2 tsp Moroccan spice

400ml stock

200g couscous

1 pomegranate, seeds only
2 tbsp Toasted almond
Nutmeg

Method

  1. Mix the Moroccan spice mix with the stock.

  2. Add the stock to a bowl with couscous.

  3. Cover and leave for 5 minutes to allow the stock to be absorbed.

  4. Fluff with a fork and mix through the mint and pomegranate. 

  5. Finish with the flaked almonds and freshly grated nutmeg.

Cranachan – whisky cream, raspberries & oats.png
Christmas Cranachan

Serves 4

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
60g Christmas Granola
Berry Swirl
150g frozen mixed berries
2 tbsp Honey
1 Orange, zest only

Cream

200ml double cream
1 tbsp castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp Whisky

Method

  1. Simmer berries with honey and orange zest.

  2. Whip cream with vanilla, sugar, and whisky.

  3. Layer granola, berries and cream in glasses.
