Cookery Demonstration & Dining Experience

There’s something special about learning to cook in a way that feels unhurried, generous, and genuinely enjoyable

The Cooking Experience That Ends at the Table –Demo & Dine in Argyll

At Meg’s Scottish Kitchen, our cookery demonstration and dining experiences in Argyll are designed to bring people together over good food, shared knowledge, and a relaxed evening around the table.

Each Demo & Dine evening begins in the kitchen, where I demonstrate five or six seasonal dishes — a starter, a couple of mains, something on the side, and of course, something sweet to finish. Along the way, I share the small details that make all the difference: how to build flavour, balance a dish, and cook with confidence using simple, real ingredients.

You’re welcome to roll up your sleeves and join in, or simply watch, ask questions, and take it all in. There’s no pressure here — just good cooking, done properly.

Then comes the best part.
We sit down together and enjoy the food.

Baking Ingredients Setup

This is not a formal class.
It’s not a restaurant either.  It sits somewhere beautifully in between  a relaxed, interactive cooking experience in Scotland where you leave not only well fed, but inspired to cook differently at home.

You’ll go away with:

  • A full set of recipes from the evening

  • Practical chef tips you’ll actually use

  • New ideas for simple, seasonal cooking

  • And the quiet confidence that comes from seeing it all come together

Perfect for home cooks, food lovers, holiday guests, and anyone looking for a unique food experience in Argyll.

A Taste of India – Demo & Dine Evening

Indian feast two.jpg

Our first evening is inspired by the warmth and generosity of Indian cooking — fragrant spices, layered flavours, and dishes designed to be shared.

Think:

Gently spiced starters

Slow-cooked, deeply flavoured mains

Fresh, vibrant sides

And something sweet to finish

It’s the kind of food that fills the kitchen with aroma and brings everyone to the table.

This is just the beginning.

These evenings are small by design and tend to fill quickly. If it sounds like your kind of evening, it probably is.

Future evenings will follow the seasons and the stories behind the food — from Scottish favourites to Mediterranean tables, slow Sunday suppers to summer feasts.

I’d love to know what you’d like to see next.
