Turn Up the Heat with Peri Peri

Fiery, zesty and totally addictive my Peri Peri spice mix brings a Portuguese and African kick to your kitchen.

Whether you're grilling chicken, spicing up roasted veg, or whipping up a tasty marinade, this mix is all about vibrant flavour with a punch of heat and a citrusy twist.

These recipes are quick, crowd-pleasing and full of flair. Let’s get that sizzle going!

Sticky Peri Peri chicken

Peri Peri Chicken Thighs

Juicy, spicy, and incredibly moreish. Serve with crispy potatoes, corn on the cob and a cooling yoghurt dip.

Serves 4

Ingredients

4 - 6 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)

1 - 2 tsp Peri Peri spice mix – depending on how hot you like it

1 tbsp olive oil

Juice of ½ lemon

Salt to taste

Method

  1. Rub chicken with spice mix, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.

  2. Marinate for 30 minutes (or overnight for extra flavour).

  3. Roast at 200°C for 30–35 minutes or grill until crisp and cooked through.

Peri Peri Vegetable Wraps

Fast & fiery, add avocado, feta or fresh herbs for extra flavour and colour.

Serves 4

Ingredients

1 courgette, cubed

1 red pepper, cubed

1 yellow pepper, cubed

2 red onion, wedges

1–2 tsp Peri Peri spice mix

Olive oil, salt

Tortilla wraps, hummus or yoghurt to serve

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C

  1. Toss vegetables with oil, spice mix and salt.

  2. Roast at for 20–25 minutes.

  3. Pile into wraps with hummus or yoghurt.

Peri Peri wedges

Peri Peri Potato Wedges

Crispy, spicy, and totally snackable. Serve with garlic mayo or sour cream for dipping. Great for BBQs or party platters.

Serves 4

Ingredients

4 medium potatoes, cut into wedges

2 tsp Peri Peri spice mix

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt to taste

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C

  1. Toss wedges with oil, spice and salt.

  2. Bake for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through.

Peri Peri Sauce

Peri Peri Marinade

Ingredients

Juice of 1 lemon

2 tsp Peri Peri spice mix

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Blend together all the ingredients together. Marinate meat, fish, tofu or halloumi for 30 minutes to 1 hour before grilling barbecuing or roasting.

  2. Use it on anything you want to make fiery and delicious.
