About

Hi, I’m Meg — a classically trained chef with over 30 years of experience in the food world. My journey began at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Co Cork, Ireland and has taken me from running a cosy gastro pub in the Cotswolds to working as a private chef for titled families and UHNW individuals.

I have lived in the UK for the two decades. I have been lucky to have lived the past three years in the beautiful Scottish countryside with my husband Simon who is an essential part of keeping our fledgling business going. We share our home with our two dogs Bella and Bracken who love tasting anything that comes their way.

Now, through Meg’s Scottish Kitchen, I share my love for seasonal cooking, offer hands-on cookery classes, create small-batch spice blends, and pop up at festivals and events across Scotland. My food is rooted in comfort, tradition, and the joy of sharing good things with good people.

January cooking, at its best, is about resourcefulness . About noticing what’s still here, what’s actually at its peak, and how to turn simple ingredients into food that nourishes properly. And this is where beans and pulses...
